Can you make a thin piece of paper hold up a heavy
book?
You need:
3 sheets of paper, 8.5 x 11
3 rubber bands
a big book (maybe several)
Roll the paper into a tube and put
the rubber band around it. Next, place the book on top of the
three standing tubes. The three tubes holds up the heavy book.
Why?
Tightly rolled paper is mych stronger than flat paper. When paper
is rolled tightly, it acts like a tube or a pipe. How many books
can you pile on top of this tube before it falls?
